KMP took security measures during HSC exams

KHULNA, June 24, 2025 (BSS) - The Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) has taken various security measures including restrictions under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure that will be imposed around 26 examination centers for three hours during the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations in the city.

Besides, restrictions under Section 144 will also be imposed in the district and elsewhere across the country during the examinations. The exams will begin on June 26.

Md Zulfiqar Ali, police commissioner of the KMP, issued an order today that people numbering five or more will not be allowed within 200 yards of the centers throughout the exams.

The order includes, carrying of arms, sharp weapons, sticks, explosive materials, etc will be prohibited at the exam center areas. Sound pollution through loudspeakers and honking from any electronic devices will be prohibited and to shut off all Photostat machines adjacent to the exam centers.

"Action will be taken against those who will violate the order," the KMP chief added.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,16,317 students, including 58,472 girls, are going to appear in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education this year.

They will appear in the public examinations from 575 colleges in 240 centers in all 10 districts under Jashore Board scheduled to be held from June 26 like other education boards in the country, said Professor Dr Abdul Matin, controller of Examinations of the Board.
