NETRAKONA, June 30, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today sentenced a man to life
imprisonment for killing a woman in Sadar upazila in 2012.
Judge of District and Sessions Judge Court Md. Hafizur Rahman delivered the
verdict in the afternoon.
The court also fined convict Md. Sadequl Islam, 23, son of Md. A. Sattar of
Purba Katli area of Netrokona municipality, Taka 50,000, in default, to
suffer one more year in jail.
According to prosecution, on February 13, 2012, convict Sadekul stabbed biker
Jhinuk and trying to steal the motorcycle .Later, Jhinuk succumbed to her
injuries at Netrokona Sadar Hospital.
The deceased's brother Md. Titu Mia filed a murder case with Purbadhola
Police Station.
