Two eateries fined in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, July 7, 2025 (BSS) - Two food shops were fined Tk 10,000 for preparing food in an unhygienic environment in the district today.

The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) conducted the drive at Munshirhat Bazar under Sadar upazila from 12 pm to 1 pm and fined 'Allah Mohan Biriyani House' and 'Muslim Sweet Meat' for violating the Consumers' Rights Protection Act.

Both the shops were fined Tk 5,000 each for preparing and preserving food in an unhygienic environment. 

Assistant Director of the DNCRP Munshiganj District Office, Asif Al Azad, led the operation. Members of law enforcement agencies were present during the drive.
