Four remanded in Banani shisha lounge killing case

DHAKA, Aug 19, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today pleaded four people on a three-day remand each in a case lodged over the killing of one Rahat Hossain Rabbi at '360 Degree', a shisha lounge in the capital's Banani area.

The remanded accused are Md Mir Hossain, 22, Md Fazle Rabbi, 24, Sabbir Ahmed Sumon, 30, and Arafat Islam Fahim, 27.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ziadur Rahman passed the order this afternoon.

Police on August 15 last arrested the four accused from Banani area and a court on that day sent them to jail. Later, the Investigation Officer (IO) pleaded to take them on a seven-day remand each and the court had set today to hold a hearing on the matter.

Rahat Hossain Rabbi was stabbed to death on the second floor of the building as he along with the attackers was coming out of the shisha lounge at 5.30 am. 

On the next day, Rabbi's father Robiul Awal filed the case.
