JAMALPUR, July 7, 2025 (BSS)- District Administration today distributed financial assistance to the eight martyrs’ families of July Uprising  in the district .

Deputy Commissioner, Hasina Begum formally handed over the grant among the eight martyrs’ families at its conference room.
Each family got national savings certificate (NSC) amounting to TK ten lakh.

July fighters of the student –people uprising   - Md Liton, Suman Hasan, Md Ripon Maih, Md Mizanur Rahman, Zahidul Islam, Md Mokhlesur Rahman, Rabbi Miah and Rabiul Islam  received the financial assistance.

Deputy Commissioner, Hasina Begum in her speech said government has taken various programmes for the martyrs’ families and injured persons.

She said a monument will be set up in the district in honour of the July Uprising martyrs.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen), Iftekhar Yunus and Civil Surgeon, Dr Md Azizul Haque, among others spoke on the occasion.
