Rangpur, July 8, 2025 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) rescued a kidnapped female college student and arrested the main suspect, Md Rizvi, 24, from a residential hotel in Paira Chattar area of Rangpur city on Monday.

Rizvi, son of late Sohrab Ali of Chhoto Hajipur village, Badarganj upazila, allegedly abducted the student on July 2 from Zamubari Ustapara area with accomplices.

The victim's father filed a case with Badarganj police station on July 5. On information, RAB-13 raided Shapla Chattar area and arrested Rizvi.

The arrestee and the victim were handed over to Badarganj police for further action.
