SATKHIRA, July 15, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed today after being struck by lightning at Chingrakhali village in Shyamnagar upazila here.
The deceased, identified as Subhash Mondal, 45, was the son of Shivpada Mondal from Ratanpur village under Kaliganj upazila.
He had been working at a local fish farm when a sudden lightning strike, accompanied by a rainstorm, hit him. He died on the spot.
Officer-in-Charge of Shyamnagar Police Station, Md. Humayun Kabir Mollah, confirmed the incident.
