CHAPAINAWABGANJ, July 15, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed and six others were injured in a road accident in Phulkuri area under Nachole upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased was identified as Md. Jewel Rana, 45, a resident of the Council area of Bangabari Union in Gomostapur upazila of the district.
The accident took place around 6 am on Nachole-Amnura road when an engine-run vehicle fell into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the vehicle, leaving its driver Jewel dead on the spot and injuring six others passengers, said Ataur Rahman, sub-inspector (SI) of Nachole Police Station.
The injured were taken to Nachole Upazila Health Complex. Of the injured, one was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) in critical condition.
