NARSINGDI, July 16, 2025 (BSS) - Police today recovered the body of an unidentified youth from the Meghna River in Raipura upazila of the district.
The body of the man, around 35 years old, was found floating near the riverbank in the Saharkhola area under Raipura Union. It was entangled with geo-bags and water hyacinths when locals spotted it in the morning.
Upon receiving the information, a team from the Mirzarchar River Outpost under Raipura Police Station, led by Sub-Inspector Nuruzzaman, recovered the body around noon and sent it to the Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
"The cause of death and whether there are any signs of injury will be determined following the post-mortem report," SI Nuruzzaman said, adding that legal procedures are currently underway in connection with the incident.
