NAOGAON, Aug 4, 2025 (BSS) - A seven-day tree plantation campaign and tree 
fair began today in the district with the slogan of "Let's do planned 
afforestation, build a green Bangladesh".

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Awal inaugurated the campaign and fair at 
a function organised by the district administration and Forest Department at 
Naujoan ground of the district town around 10.30 am.

Rajshahi Divisional Forest Officer Rafiquzzaman Shah presided over the 
function.

It was addressed, among others, by Additional Superintendent of Police 
Farzana Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Sadia 
Afrin, Naogaon Assistant Conservator of Forests Mehedizzaman and President of 
Nursery Owners Association Mostak Ahmed.

Earlier, a colorful rally was brought out from ATM ground and ended at the 
Naujoan ground of the district town parading the main streets of the town.

Different tree saplings were distributed among students. A total of 40 stalls 
have been set up at the fair.
