Two students killed in road accident in Jhenaidah

JHENAIDAH, Aug 14, 2025 (BSS) -Two school students were killed and another three injured in road accident at Darigabindhapur village in Sadar upazila of  Jhenaidah district at 8pm last night (Wednesday).
   
The deceased were identified as Arafat Hossain (16), son of Imran Hossain and Shihab (14), son of Korban Ali. Both are residents of Darigabindhapur village under Sadar upazila of Jhenaidah district. 

 Police Station Officer-in-charge (OC)  of Jhenaidah district Abdullah Al Mamun told BSS that “The accident occurred when a motorcycle hit a bicycle at  Darigabindhapur village in Sadar upazila.” The injured were rushed to Jhenaidah hospital, he said. 
 
Family sources said Shihab died on the way to Faridpur hospital while Arafat died on the way to Dhaka Medical College.  The bodies of two were handed over to the families.
