CHATTOGRAM, Aug 22, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-7) apprehended four fugitives wanted in connection with three separate murder cases in different parts of Chattogram city.

The arrested individuals are Md. Didar Majhi, 46, his son Md. Shahadat, 20, Md. Ataur, 22, and Md. Gias Uddin Liton, 56, all residents of Magadhara area in Sandwip upazila.

A press release signed by RAB-7 Senior Assistant Director (Media) A. R. M. Mozaffar Hossain confirmed the matter today. 

The arrests were made during separate raids in the Akbar Shah and Kotwali police station areas on Thursday night. Following initial interrogation, the suspects were handed over to the respective police stations, the release said.

Among them, Didar Majhi and Shahadat are accused in the Rifat murder case, Md Ataur in the Sabbir murder case and Gias Uddin Liton in an unsolved murder case in the capital.
