One to die in Pabna triple murder case

PABNA, Aug 25, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today sentenced a man to death in a triple murder case in Sadar upazila in 2020. 

Judge of Additional District and Sessions Court-3 Md. Tanvir Ahmed delivered the verdict this afternoon, said Public Prosecutor (PP) of the court Advocate Golam Sarwar Khan Jewel.

The convict is Tanvir Hossain, son of Hatem Ali Sardar of Haripur Purbapara village in Naogaon district.

According to prosecution, on May 31, 2020, convict Tanvir killed retired bank official Abdul Jabbar, his wife Chumma Khatun and adopted daughter Sanjida alias Jaya in the town's Dilalpur area and looted money and gold ornaments and fled away. 

Later, police arrested Tanvir from Naogaon.
