Campaign for using jute bag launched in Natore

NATORE, 27 Aug, 2025 (BSS) – As part of polythene-free movement,  the district administration launched the motivation campaign  to ensure jute bags using among the people for safeguarding environment. 

The theme of the campaign is using of jute-made bag instead of polythene bag, the district administration sources said.   

On the occasion, a rally was brought out in Nichabazar area of the Natore town and it paraded different streets of the town this morning . Following the rally, Deputy Commissioner Ashma Shahin distributed jute bags among people to encourage them for using the environment-friendly jute products.            

Asma Shahin said, “We have taken this initiative to make Natore a polythene free town .  .  . as part of nationwide campaign,  the district administration launched the motivated initiative for adjusting jute products as there are serious harmful impacts of polythene bags on our environment.”       

Chief Executive officer of district parishad Shamim Bhuiyan, officials of local administrations and campaigners of jute products, among others, joined the campaign.
