NAOGAON, Sept 7, 2025 (BSS) - A truck driver was killed in a road accident at Sabritala intersection on the Rajshahi-Naogaon highway in Manda upazila here in the district this morning.
 
The deceased was identified as Saju Mia, 40, son of late Amir Uddin of Kholahati union in Gaibandha district. 
 
The incident took place around 5:00am when a goods-laden truck hit a sand-laden truck from behind as its driver lost control over the steering. Truck driver Saju died on the spot, said Mansur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Manda Police Station.
 
Police recovered the body and sent it to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
