RAB arrests 15-year convict in Khulna

KHULNA, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have in a drive 
arrested a fugitive convict, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison in 
separate arms and narcotics cases, from Sonadanga upazila in Khulna district.

The convict was identified as Md Imran Sardar, son of Lokman Sardar from 
Chingrakhali village under Morrelganj upazila of Bagerhat district.

The arrest was confirmed through a press release from RAB-6 on Monday. 

According to the release, Imran had been sentenced to a total of 15 years-- 
10 years in an arms case and 5 years in a drug case filed with Morrelganj 
Police Station-- and had been on the run since his conviction.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the RAB-6 conducted a drive in the area and 
successfully arrested him.

RAB said the arrested convict has been handed over to the concerned police 
station for further legal action.
