RANGAMATI, Sept 8, 2025 (BSS) - As part of its ongoing humanitarian initiative, the Bangladesh Army provided aid among poor and helpless people of Jurachhari upazila of the district today.

Jurachhari Zone Commander Lieutenant Colonel Rashed Hasan Sejan distributed this humanitarian aid on behalf of the army at the zonal camp this morning.

Deputy Commander of the zone Major Mohammad Mushfaq Amin Chowdhury, Jurachhari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Bayezid-Bin-Akhand, local public representatives and administrative officers, among others, were present at the distribution function.

In his speech, Jurachhari Zone Commander Lieutenant Colonel Rashed Hasan said that the army is working for the socio-economic development and welfare of the people of all communities here in addition to fulfilling its duty of maintaining law and order in the hilly areas.

Such initiative will continue in the future as well, he added.

During this time, 20 house keys were handed over to 20 homeless and helpless families, food items were distributed to 12 poor people, ducklings with houses were distributed to two people, and sewing machines were provided to two people.
