Army arranges free medical camp in Rangamati

RANGAMATI, Sept 8, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Army today organized a free medical camp at Uluchhari Government Primary School grounds in Durchhari area under Baghaichhari upazila of the district.

The camp was arranged by the Longadu Army Zone as part of the Army's ongoing efforts to provide healthcare support to the marginalized and underprivileged communities living in the hill tracts.

According to a press release issued by the Longadu Army Zone, the medical camp began at 11 am at the Uluchhari Government Primary School grounds in Durchhari, Baghaichhari Upazila, where free medical consultations and medicines were provided under the Harmony and Development Project.

Gynecologist Major Turfa and Longadu Zone Medical Officer Captain Navid Newaz provided medical services at the camp.

More than 200 residents from the surrounding hill areas received free treatment and medicines. In addition, cash assistance was distributed among four hill families in need.
