MUNSHIGANJ, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS) – Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested two men with 12kg ganja yesterday evening in Tongibari upazila of Munshiganj district.
The arrested were identified as Lokman Hossain (29) and Md. Ruhul Amin (31). They are the sons of Abdul Malek and Md. Haroon Mia. Both are residents of Dakkhin Bejura village of Madhabpur upazila.
Inspector of DB police Munshiganj thana told BSS that “On a tip-off, a team of the law enforcement agency conducted a drive in the Betoka area and arrested Lokman Hossain and Ruhul Amin with 12 kg ganja.”
During the drive, a pickup van that was used to transport ganja was also seized, he added.
A case is underway against them in this connection.
