DHAKA, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS)-Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana Joty is considering a break from the cricket as part of managing the workload after the ICC Cricket World Cup.

"I have been playing cricket for the last six months, so its important to manage the workload, Joty said during a press conference at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

"That's why I am thinking about a break to work on specific areas."

But her break is not from the International cricket, she clarified later. The Bangladesh captain won't play the National Cricket League (NCL), a domestic tournament which is scheduled after the World Cup.

"The break is not applicable for the International cricket. I just won't play the domestic cricket that is scheduled after the World Cup," she said.

'I will work on some specific areas in this period to hone my skill and prepare me better for the International cricket."
