
RAJSHAHI, Nov 15, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today said a vested quarter has been creating division in the BNP and urged leaders and activists of the party to remain alert to face the conspiracy of that quarter.
He also said another political party is trying to go to power, but he believes it will not be possible for them to bring any meaningful change to the country or restore discipline in the state.
The BNP Secretary General made the remarks while addressing a public gathering after offering prayers at the grave of late BNP Vice-chairman Barrister Aminul Haque at Godagari in the district on his way to Chapainawabganj.
BNP-nominated candidate for the Rajshahi-1 (Godagari-Tanore) constituency Major General (Retd) Sharif Uddin, Adviser to the BNP Chairperson Mijanur Rahman Minu and former Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation Mosaddique Hossain Bulbul were present on the occasion.
Mirza Fakhrul said a vested political quarter has been trying to gain benefits by creating division. In this context, he urged BNP leaders and activists not to allow conflicts and divisions within the party to ensure a greater victory for the BNP.
Referring to the contribution of Barrister Aminul Haque to the development of Godagari and Tanore, he said BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has nominated his younger brother Sharif Uddin for the constituency and urged the party leaders and activists to unite in support of him.
