
SUNAMGANJ, Nov 15, 2025 (BSS) - The Shaheed Liaquat Memorial Scholarship Examination was held in the district on Saturday, maintaining its tradition of being organized annually for the past 17 years.
The examination began at 10 am at Sunamganj High Girls’ School, where a total of 876 students from classes one to nine of Sunamganj Sadar upazila took part.
The exam was conducted at three centers in the district: Palash High School in Bishwambharpur and Murari Chand High School in Fatehpur. As many as 25,00 examinees took part in these three centres.
Md. Ataur Rahman, superintendent of the Sunamganj High Girls’ School examination center and headmaster of Puran Lakshnashree Guchchagram Government Primary School, reported that the examination proceeded smoothly.
He expressed hope that the participating students would have the opportunity to demonstrate their talent and determination through this scholarship test.
The results of the scholarship examination are scheduled to be published on January 15, 2026. Successful candidates will receive certificates, crests, magazines, and cash awards.
Shaheed Liaquat, in whose memory the scholarship examination is organized, was a devoted member of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, hailing from Chattogram.
