SYLHET, Sept 27, 2025 (BSS) - Two minor children have tragically drowned in a river at Burdeo village under Companiganj upazila of the district last night. 

The deceased were identified as Yamin, 03, son of Rafiqul Islam and Meem, 03, daughter of Mohammad Ali of Burdeo village of the upazila.

The children fell into the water while playing beside the bank of the river near their house, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Companiganj Police Station Md. Ratan Sheikh.
