RAJSHAHI, Sept 28, 2025 (BSS) - An elderly man was killed when a train hit him in Bhadra area of the city this morning.

The deceasaed was Sadiq Ali, 70, son of Abdur Rahman of Barara village in Pabna sadar upazila.

The accident took place around 12.45 pm when a Rajshahi-bound train 'Dhumketu Express' hit the man in the area, said Rajshahi Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Faisal Bin Ahsan.

Police recovered the body and it will be handed over to his family after legal proceedings, the OC added.
