Firefighter Naeem laid to eternal rest in Sherpur

SHERPUR, Sept 28, 2025 (BSS) - Firefighter Khandaker Jannatul Naeem laid to 
eternal rest at his family graveyard at Khandaker Para of Lava village in 
Nakla upazila of the district last night.

Earlier, a Namaz-e-Janaza of Naeem was held at his village where a number of 
people including politicians, firefighters and officials of different public 
and private organisations took part.

Later, a tribute was paid to the coffin of Naeem on behalf of Mymensingh Fire 
Service and Civil Defense and the Director General (DG).

Firefighter Naeem, who suffered burn injuries in a fire at a chemical 
warehouse in Tongi of Gazipur district, succumbed to his burn injuries 10 am 
yesterday at National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, Dhaka.

After the funeral prayers at 10 pm, firefighter Naeem was laid to rest in the 
family graveyard of Khandaker's house at the village.
