Rangpur Lions Club engaged in humanitarian work: Divisional Commissioner

RANGPUR, Oct 9, 2025 (BSS) - Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md Shahidul Islam has praised Rangpur Lions Club for its humanitarian activities benefiting underprivileged communities.

He made the remarks while inaugurating a rally marking October Service Fortnight-2025 at the club office premises on Thursday.

The Commissioner said the club has set an example by supporting the backward sections of society through education, healthcare, food distribution, and other welfare initiatives.

Earlier, the club launched the fortnight by distributing food and educational materials among street children and providing assistance to patients with serious illnesses.

Lions Club of Rangpur President Lion Nasrin Haque Bobby presided over the post-rally discussion moderated by Lion Manzil Murad Lavlu (MJF), attended by club officials, members, and Leo representatives.
