Three held with 20-kg ganja in Lalmonirhat

RANGPUR, Oct 9, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested three alleged drug traders with 20 kg of ganja from village Tongbhanga under Hatibandha police station of Lalmonirhat district on Wednesday.
 
An operational team of RAB-13's Sadar Company from Rangpur in a drive searched a private car at village Tongbhanga, seized the smuggled ganja and arrested the three men from the spot at 7:45 pm, a press release said today.
 
The detainees were identified as Md Shahin Hawlader, 25, of village Kanudaskathi, under Rajapur police station of Jhalakati, Md Robin Islam, 19, of village Bara Sangalshi and Md Rakib, 23, of village Sahapara under Sadar police station of Nilphamari. 
 
The elite force handed over the arrested persons with seized ganja to Hatibandha police station, the release added.
