GAIBANDHA, Oct 17, 2025 (BSS)-A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in 
Dholvanga area on the Gaibandha-Palashbari road under Palashbari upazila in 
the district this afternoon. 

The victim is identified as Rakib, 17, son of Nazrul Islam, of Asmotpur 
village under Kishoregari union of the upazila. 

Police said the accident occurred when a motorcycle collided head-on with a 
passenger bus coming from the opposite direction, causing the motorcyclist to 
skid off the road and die on the spot.

Being informed, the police of Palashbari Thana rushed to the spot and 
recovered the body. 

Officer in charge (OC) Zulfikar Ali Bhutto of Palashbari Thana confirmed the 
incident.
