Rohingya woman arrested with over one lakh Yaba tablets

COX’S BAZAR, Oct 25, 2025 (BSS) - A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested a Rohingya woman from a camp under Ukhia upazila and seized over one lakh pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from her house here last night.

The RAB team, in a special drive, arrested the Rohingya woman Dil Bahar (50) from Babu Khali camp number 10 under Palongkhali union of the upazila after midnight on Friday. They seized 1,12,463 pieces of Yaba tablets from her possession.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) A M Faruk of RAB-15 said that they conducted the raid on the basis of secret information about smuggling of huge quantity of Yaba tablets from Myanmar.  

Arrested Dil Bahar is the wife of late Aiyub Ali of the camp.

Filing of a legal case against the arrested women is underway, said the ASP.
