DHAKA, Nov 3, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested an Awami League (AL) leader from Old Dhaka's Nawabpur area on charges of taking part sudden procession in the capital city on Sunday. 

The arrestee has been identified as Abu Jaher Dulal, Youth and Sports Affairs Secretary of Kabirhat Upazila Awami League in Noakhali district. 

He was arrested after conducting a drive in Nawabpur area of the capital on Sunday, said a police press release.
 
The arrested Dulal has participated in multiple sudden processions of the Awami League in different places in Dhaka in the last few months. 

He took part in the flash processions in Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban area on October 31, Mohammadpur area on October 28, in front of Mirpur-1 Commerce College, October 22, Banglamotor area on September 12, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area on September 9 and shared the videos of the aforementioned processions on his own verified Facebook page.
