
RAJSHAHI, Nov 8, 2025 (BSS) - The district unit of the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB), celebrated its 55th founding anniversary with a colourful rally and discussion.
With the theme of "Dakkha Janashakti - Desh Gothoner Mul Bhitti," IDEB leaders and members marked the occasion at its office premises.
The programme began with the release of balloons, festoons, and pigeons.
Rajshahi Additional Commissioner Rezaul Alam Sarker addressed the discussion as the chief guest, while IDEB Central Committee Member Engineer Toyab Ali Mukul attended as the special guest.
IDEB Rajshahi convener AR Zamil Edi presided over the meeting.
Rajshahi University Chief Engineer Abul Kalam Azad, Rajshahi City Corporation Superintending Engineer Ahmad Al Muid, and IDEB Central Adviser Abu Bakar Siddique also spoke on the occasion.
The speakers unanimously observed that diploma engineers have played pivotal roles since the independence of the country.
They described diploma engineers as a valuable national resource, adding that proper utilization of this resource could help achieve the nation's cherished development goals.
Emphasizing the importance of transparency in all development activities, the speakers said that rendering services with utmost sincerity and honesty is essential for building a prosperous and self-reliant nation.
