MANIKGANJ, Nov 8, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested former general secretary of Singair upazila unit of the banned Chhatra League (BCL), Abdullah Al Mamun, from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) early today.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Singair Police Station JOM Toufiq Azam confirmed the arrest.
Police sources said Mamun, who has multiple cases filed against him, had been staying in Dubai since the fall of the fascist Awami League government. Immigration Police detained him upon his arrival at the airport early Saturday.
He was later handed over to Singair police for further legal procedures, the OC added.
