Two youths killed in Noakhali road crash

NOAKHALI, Nov 11, 2025 (BSS) - Two youths were killed in a road accident in Bagadia area of Bajra union under Sonaimuri upazila of the district last night.

The deceased were Shahria Shahid, 20, and Mosharraf Hossain, 20, residents of Barahipur village of the upazila.

The accident took place on the Chaumuhani-Sonaimuri highway around 8 pm when a motorcycle, carrying youths, hit a roadside tree. The rider lost control of the bike while attempting to avoid a pedestrian woman crossing the road.

Shahria Shahid died on the spot while Mosharraf Hossain was rushed to a local hospital where the on duty doctors declared him dead.

Sonaimuri Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Morshed Alam confirmed the matter.
