BGB seized Indian smuggled goods worth Tk 2.71cr in Cumilla

CUMILLA, Nov 11, 2025 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has recovered huge quantity of Indian smuggled goods worth about Taka 2.71 crore from a train in Rasulpur Railway Station area of the district.

BGB Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mir Ali Ejaz confirmed the matter today.

He said, on a tip-off, a team of BGB and police with the presence of Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Md Sarwar Zahan raided Chattogram-bound Chattal Express and seized different items of Indian smuggled goods including cosmetics.

BGB sources said the seized items will be deposited to customs through legal process.
