PATUAKHALI, Nov 11, 2025 (BSS) - Seeds and chemical fertilizers have been distributed among 600 small and marginal farmers in Bauphal upazila of the district.

The incentives were distributed this morning at the Upazila Parishad Hallroom.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Aminul Islam was present as the chief guest at the programme while Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Milon presided over it.

Mustard seeds and fertilizers were distributed among 400 farmers and khesari seeds and fertilizers to 200 farmers as part of the incentives for the 25-26 Rabi season. 

Other crops seeds will also be distributed in phases. Each farmer got 1 kg of mustard seeds, 10 kg of DAP and 10 kg of MOP fertilizers. And for khesari cultivation , each farmer got 8 kg of seeds, 10 kg of DAP and 5 kg of MOP fertilizers. 

Upazila Fisheries Officer MM Parvez, Baufal Police Station SI Ibrahim Mollah and Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Redwan Talukder Jr were present, among others.
