DHAKA, Nov 11, 2025 (BSS) – Sixty-three students from different departments and years of Dhaka University (DU) have been awarded Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall Trust Fund Scholarships.

One student received the Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall Trust Fund Gold Medal, and 15 students received Merit Scholarships for their outstanding results in the Graduation (Honours) Examination, said a press release received here today.

In addition, 40 students from different years have been awarded general scholarships, and eight students have been awarded co-curricular scholarships for their excellence in co-curricular activities.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan handed over the scholarship cheques to the students.

Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) and Treasurer Professor Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, among others, were present as special guests with Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall Provost Professor Dr. Salma Nasreen in the chair.

The gold medalist student is Nasrin Sultana, from the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies at DU.
