Three dengue patients die, 912 fresh dengue cases detected overnight

DHAKA, Nov 11, 2025 (BSS) - Health officials today said they recorded 912 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts, killing at least three persons in the past 24 hours.

"We recorded deaths of three dengue patients in 24 hours ending at 8 am today," a spokesman of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said adding his office simultaneously recorded 912 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts during the same period.

According to the DGHS statistics, three died in areas with purview of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

"Out of the 912 fresh cases, 138 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, 151 in Chattogram division, 130 in Dhaka division excluding the capital, 131 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 194 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, 72 in Khulna division, 88 in Rajshahi division, three in Rangpur division and five in Sylhet division, a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.

Since the start of the dengue onslaughts Bangladesh this year witnessed so far 318 deaths while the disease inflicted 80,634.

The dengue last year claimed 575 lives and inflicted 1,01,214 people in the country.
