Smuggled goods seized in Satkhira border

SATKHIRA, Nov 13, 2025 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in an anti-smuggling operation seized Indian medicines and narcotics worth about Taka 9.50 lakh from different border area under Sadar and Kalaroa upazilas of the district today.

Based on intelligence information, BGB teams conducted separate drives in the border areas and seized Indian medicine and phensidyl worth Taka 9.50 lakh, Satkhira 33 BGB Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Md. Ashraful Haque confirmed.

The seized Indian medicines have been submitted to Satkhira Customs. In addition, a general diary was filed with the Satkhira Narcotics Control Department and the seized narcotics were later stored in the BGB for destruction.
