RAB arrest six alleged frauds in Gaibandha

SUNAMGANJ, Nov 13, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested six suspects from northwestern Gaibandha as they allegedly amassed huge amount of money from ordinary traders in northwestern Gaibandha, identifying them as onion suppliers.

 According to a RAB statement, the alleged frauds collected money from several traders at Gaibandha’s Gobindaganj upazila in the name of advance payment for onion and garlic and then fled the area.

RAB said of the suspects two were women.

 RAB units in both the districts arrested them in a coordinated drive on November 11 night while they all hailed from from Kishoreganj.

  Additional superintendent of police KM Shahidul Islam said that the RAB forces handed the arrested people over to Sadar Police Station for subsequent legal procedure.
