Seeds, fertilizer distributed among 4,100 farmers in Narail

NARAIL, Nov 19, 2025 (BSS) – To boost Boro cultivation in the current Rabi season, a total of 4,100 small and marginal farmers in Narail received free seeds and fertilizers under a government incentive programme.

The Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) distributed seeds and fertilizers to 330 farmers at an event held today at the Narail Sadar Agriculture Office.

Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Rokonuazzaman presided over the programme, while Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sanchita Biswas attended as the chief guest.

According to the DAE, 900 farmers received Ufshi Boro paddy seeds and will also get 20 kg of fertilizer each, while 3,200 farmers received 2 kg of hybrid paddy seeds.

UNO Sanchita Biswas said the government is committed to supporting farmers through such initiatives aimed at increasing Boro production and strengthening national food security.
