GAZIPUR, Nov 19, 2025 (BSS)-A fire that broke out today at the chemical warehouse of a coil factory in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur, was brought under control.
The blaze started at 12:55 pm in the chemical storage facility of Phoenix Coil Factory in the Bagerbazar area.
A total of nine fire fighting units from Rajendrapur Modern Fire Service and Gazipur Fire Service worked for about two and a half hours to bring the fire under control.
The origin of the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be ascertained.
Gazipur Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Md. Mamun confirmed the incident.
He said seven units from Rajendrapur and two additional units from Gazipur joined the operation and the fire was finally doused around 2:30 pm.
