RAB arrests fugitive convict in Sherpur

SHERPUR, Nov 19, 2025 (BSS) – Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today arrested a fugitive convict, Ariful Mawla Mamun, 36.

The arrestee is Mamun, son of Azhar Ali of the Gouripur area of the district town.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB raided the Natun Bus Stand area of the district town and arrested Mamun, who had been sentenced to one year in prison.

He was handed over to the Sherpur District Jail authorities following legal procedures.
