4 arrested for hatching conspiracy in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR, Nov 20, 2025 (BSS) - Police in a day-long drive arrested four persons for hatching conspiracies to destabilize the present government in the district yesterday.

The arrested persons are Vice-president ward Swechasebak League, Md Ismail Hossain, 53, of village South Gabergram in Madarganj Upazila, Vice-president Union Swechasebak League Md Manohar, 50, of village Ruknai in Melandah Upazila, Vice-president ward Awami League Md Motiur Rahman Moti, 55, of village Chandrabaj Madhyapara in Bakshiganj Upazila and Vice-president Upazila Awami League Md Abdul Malek,50, of village Malir Char Nayapara in Bakshiganj Upazila of the district.

Inspector, Police Control Room, Md Golam Sarwar said the arrested persons were accused of various criminal cases with Madarganj, Melandah and Bakshiganj Police Stations.

Operations will continue to prevent such incidents, police added.
