JHENAIDAH, Nov 20, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed in a road accident at Chhota Shimla village under Kaliganj upazila of the district today.
 
The deceased was Muktar Hossain, 36, son of Matiar Hossain of Aramukhi village in Jhenaidah Sadar upazila.
 
The accident took place around 9 am when a battery-run easy bike hit a road side tree as its driver lost control of the vehicle, leaving driver Muktar dead on the spot and several others injured.
  
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kaliganj Police Station Shafiqul Islam confirmed the matter.
