New DC seeks media cooperation for Rangpur's progress

RANGPUR, Nov 20, 2025 (BSS) - Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Enamul Ahsan has sought the cooperation of journalists and media workers to accelerate the progress of Rangpur district.
 
He was addressing an introductory and view-exchange meeting at his conference room in the Deputy Commissioner’s office in the city with the local journalists of print, electronic and online media on Thursday afternoon.
 
Additional Deputy Commissioners, senior officials, leaders of different journalists' organisations of Rangpur and a large number of local journalists were present. 
 
The participating journalists narrated various problems and issues prevailing in Rangpur district and suggested adopting immediate measures. 
 
They informed the DC about the existing prospects of Rangpur district in various sectors, including agriculture and industrialisation.
 
The DC thanked the journalists for responding to his call and expressed his gratitude to them for extending their cooperation towards his administration for smooth development of the district.
 
Terming the media's role as the most vital one, the DC called upon the journalists to play their responsible roles for development of Rangpur and assured a service- oriented and pro- people administration during his tenure.
 
He elaborated his plans about carrying out development activities, along with all concerned, including journalists as a team, and sought media cooperation to ensure more accountability and transparency at all levels of his administration.
