KHULNA, Nov 21, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar today said people, especially students and youths, will show a 'red card' to corrupt leaders in the upcoming national election.

Speaking as the chief guest at a student rally at Shahpur Andulia Football Ground in Dumuria Upazila of Khulna-5 constituency this morning, Parwar alleged that successive governments over the past 54 years have failed to meet public expectations in governance, economy, judiciary, agriculture, education, and culture.

He called for a just and accountable state system and said Jamaat could deliver the change demanded by the people.

Quoting Jamaat Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman, he pledged that if Jamaat assumes state responsibility, its MPs and ministers would not accept tax-free cars, plots, or special privileges.

He also promised transparency in development spending and accountability.

Addressing members of the Hindu community, Parwar urged them not to fear and reminded them of their equal democratic rights to vote for any party symbol.

He also highlighted difficulties faced by expatriate workers due to administrative harassment and promised that a Jamaat-led government would ensure voting rights for expatriates and faster administrative services.

He urged district and upazila administrations, including DCs, SPs, UNOs, and police, to remain neutral during elections and directed party workers to form polling station-wise committees to safeguard ballots from the start of polling.

Addressing as special guest, DUCSU VP Abu Sadiq Kayem called for a 'revolution of justice' and urged people to vote for the 'Daripalla' symbol.

The rally was organised by Dumuria Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami and presided over by Dumuria Upazila Ameer Maulana Moktar Hossain.

JUCSU General Secretary Mazharul Islam, Dumuria Hindu Committee president Krishna Nandi, and several Jamaat leaders and student representatives were present at the event.
