Fire victim gets financial support in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, Dec 3, 2025 (BSS) - A fire victim whose house was gutted a few days back received financial assistance from the district administration here on Tuesday.
 
Some five rooms of a house owned by Nasir Uddin at Khordo Malibari village under Laxmipur Union of Sadar Upazila were gutted due to fire that originated from a mosquito coil in a cowshed on Saturday night. 

Due to the fire incident, the immovable assets including domestic animals of the house were burnt to ashes. As a result, the family members were passing their days with hardship for want of money and food. 

Being informed, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Masudur Rahman Mollah stood beside the affected family and handed over cash of Taka 42,000, along with clothes, dry food to the victim family members from the district administration on Tuesday afternoon.

UNO Mahmud Al- Hasan, district relief and rehabilitation officer Shafiqul Islam and upazila project implementation officer Reajul Islam were present on the occasion.
