200 people receives free medical service in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, Dec 11, 2025 (BSS) - A day-long free medical camp was held today at the Charbaniari Union Parishad premises in Chitalmari upazila under the Samriddhi programme.

Specialists Dr Abul Bashar Sadi and Dr Tanmoy Pal from Bagerhat 250-bed Hospital provided medical services at the camp, which drew a huge response as 200 patients received free treatment.

Mahbub Alam, Regional Manager of the Bagerhat Zone of CODEC, and Newton Das, Health Officer of the CODEC Samriddhi Programme, were present.

Officials said such special health camps are organised every six months as a regular initiative of Samriddhi Programme, each offering free medical services and medicines to 200 patients.
