Dustbin installation programme launched in Bogura

BOGURA, Dec 28, 2025 (BSS) - Members of the ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ have launched a dustbin installation programme at key locations across Bogura town under the slogan of “Clean Bogra, Green Bogura” aiming to promote cleanliness and environmental awareness.

The initiative was carried out on Saturday night to help keep the town clean and well-organized. The overall cleanliness programme is being supervised by Atiqur Rahman Rumon, convener of the Amra BNP Paribar, under the guidance of BNP Acting Chairman and chief patron of the Amra BNP Paribar Tarique Rahman.

The programme was inaugurated by Kalam Azad, Rajshahi and Rangpur divisional coordinator of the BNP Media Cell, at the District Judge Court area. On the first day, dustbins were installed at several important locations, including the Bogura Circuit House, District Court premises, Satmatha, Post Office area, Bogura Press Club, Azizul Haque College and Shah Sultan College.

Speaking on the occasion, Kalam Azad said that the first phase of the dustbin installation programme is currently underway. He expressed optimism that continuous installation of dustbins would significantly improve cleanliness and hygiene in Bogura town. 

He added that building a clean and green Bogura has long been a cherished dream of the town’s residents, and various initiatives have been undertaken as part of this broader campaign.

Former town JASAS General Secretary Rasheduzzaman Pias, District Chhatra Dal Organizing Secretary Shams Islam Sagar, along with other party leaders and activists, were present at the event.
