Coordination Meeting on Referendum held in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, Jan 12, 2026 (BSS) - A coordination meeting to create public awareness about referendum was held at the conference room of the deputy commissioner (DC) here on Sunday.

District administration arranged the meeting with the theme 'Tomar Amar Bangladeshe, Vote dibo Mille Mishe'.

Superintendent of police (SP) Md. Jashim Uddin, army major Sahariar Rahman Rahat, ADC-General Jadob Sarker, district information officer Istiyak Ahmed Abir and district election officer Md. Shahidul Islam addressed the function among others while DC Mohammad Masudaur Rahman Mollah presided over the function.

The speakers in their speeches said on February 12, the Parliamentary Election as well as Referendum would be held across the country and they urged all concerned to exercise their voting rights on the day of the election to make the referendum effective and fruitful.
    
In this context, they emphasized the need for creating much awareness among the public to attain the cherished goals of the referendum. 

Almost all district-level officials, invited persons including journalists attended the meeting.
